Cold spell

It seems the cold spell is finally over, but it was very cold for over a week.  10 degrees feels so warm now!  The beginning of the cold was MLK weekend, and the lift crew did a great job dealing with large crowds while adjusting to the nasty temps.  In the 10 years I've been here, I'd have to say that was in the top 3 coldest weeks.

Below, Norman loads chairs on lift 1 in arctic temps.

Night shifties bundled up at the base of 1.

Collin enjoys a day off.

Some kids from the Girdwood school came by during their "Around Town" intensive.

Mountain Host Vesna stopped by to quiz the kids on mountain safety, and they did great.  These are some smart kids.

Sisters, Jenn (Sales) and Kelly (Patrol) are both former lift crew members.

The snow has returned and there are many happy folks today.  I hope you are having a great winter!
